Savvy Savings Online! Free Shipping- No Gas Money!
Well I must say with the ever rising costs of gas these days, shopping online makes even more sense to help you save a bigger bundle when making your purchases.
Gas prices are continually on the rise and you could save yourself time and money
by shopping through some of the fabulous online merchants.
There are so many stores that offer some wonderful bargain shipping deals!
For instance, one of my absolute favorites is Amazon.com you can get free shipping EVERYDAY with almost any purchase of $25 or more! That is huge savings when you don't even have to leave the house and they ship it free to your door!
Several other merchants offer free shipping on $50 or $75 or $100 purchases, and others have flat $5.00 shipping rates like Old Navy is one that comes to mind.
If there are necessity items you can purchase and save some extra cash to keep in your pocket it sure is worth the clicking and ordering!
Definately check out the dealofday home page for super hot offers that are limited time or newly released.
Several of the office stores such as Staples and Office Depot offer Free Overnight shipping with any $50 purchase and one thing I like about those as well as the price is there is no LUGGING those heavy packages of papers or cases of paper to the car, they bring it right to your home or office.
I hope you can save as much money on the items you need on a daily basis and that the online shopping specials and coupons can help you out!

Graduation
You know it seems like only yesterday I was getting ready to end the High school Senior year and graduate with my class. I still remember the anxieties of now what? Wondering how life would be after this, all the friends I had grown up with through kindergarten, grade school, middle school and now we were ending this ride of life! This was it, we were parting ways and the routine we all had known for the past 13 years was now final and over and now the unsurity of our futures.
I remember being sad, anxious, happy, all the anticipations, I remember so many times in our classes we had talked and could not wait for this day to come but now it was here the reality was a little overwhelming. Oh the roller coaster ride of emotions as you walked across the stage and get your diploma and get to move your tassel over on your cap. On to New responsiblities and decisions to be made, we were moving into the adult world now!
Last year our oldest son graduated and it was still so fresh in my memory of going through the same process, it didn't seem like that long ago that was me and my husband in those shoes, Yet 20 years had passed! How did that happen, where did the time go? Whoa! One really neat thing about him graduating it was exactly 20 years after I did and then another cool thing is my Dad had graduated from the same high school 30 years prior to me. I can only imagine now how he must have felt watching me as I graduated. I am sure alot of the same things I felt last year watching my oldest baby boy walk across that stage.
Enjoy those special moments with your family time passes by so quickly!
Congratulations to all the graduates of 2008!

Mother's Day
Mother's day is fast approaching. The time when we reverence mothers and grandmothers alike.
We send flowers, take them out to dinners, and pamper them royally for a day. We might cook
dinner forthem or clean their house. Lavish them with gifts, all with the hopes of
expressing our love to them in some manner.
I remember making our own card for my mom. Fixing her breakfast, and doing her chores for the day.
I am sure she appreciated it too. I think of the many mothers around the world and the different
lives they lead. some living in extravagance, some in poverty. Yet they are all mothers and have the
same desires for their children.
I always remember my mother telling me about the golden rule. Not to make fun of others who had
disabilities, and many other life lessons. I learned from an early age what my mom meant to me and how wise she really was.
We weren't well off, but we had a happy life. I remember saturday mornings watching cartoons and snuggling on my mom's lap
while she drank coffee and visited with grandma and granddad. I felt so safe.
A mothers love is a perfect thing. Unfading, enequivocal, and truest of true. Being a parent now I surely understand
so much more of what mom went through and how tough it can be at times. I am sure that if we all pondered on these things
how much our mothers enriched our lives. After all it was usually mom who encouraged us, wiped away tears, and kissed our
boo boos and made it feel better.
I hope you find time to spend with your mother this coming mother's day and celebrate what your mom has meant to you.
No other friend is like your mom. Kind and stern. Loving and sympathetic. Willing to listen and willing to lend advice.
Here's to the moms of the world who raised the children and made us who we are today.

It Happened!
Well it finally happened to us!
That first mowing of our yard for the season, Today was our first time this season to have to break out the lawn equipment and yard tools and mow and weedeat our lawn. The spring rains have brought on some signifigant growth this past week or so. As you drive down the Oklahoma highways the fields are coming to life and showing off some beautiful green color. Spring bulbs are blooming, so far I have seen Tulips, Hyacinths, Daffodils in the brilliant yellows.
This weekend I saw some of the most beautiful deep purple bearded Iris blooming. There is nothing like the beauty of nature in it's glory.
Right now the weather has been next to perfect, not too hot, not too cold it has the just right and not too humid yet either. Ah, savour it while we can!
I am sure as the warmer summer days arrive we will be wishing for it to get cooler and complaining of the humidity.
Our 10 year old is loving to be out and help his daddy in the yard, its a great time to spend with children and nature!
School will be out within the next month and bicycle rides and skateboarding and digging in the dirt. The swimming pools will open around Memorial day and ah the fun in the sun!

Oklahoma Spring Weather
Oklahoma Spring Weather
As usual the Oklahoma weather is so incredibly unpredictable, one minute the skys are bright and sunny and before you know it there are clouds and thunder and lightning, or warnings of tornados.
One day is cold and the next is like summer. You are never quite sure how to dress.
The other night we had the most horrible Hail Storm I had ever seen. After staying awake and watching the weather on our news channels and checking the paths of the storm it seemed like it was all going to
go around us and that we were actually going to miss the bad stuff.....
Well after almost dozing off and resting it was like WOAH! At 2am There was hail slightly smaller than golf balls pounding our house and cars! EEKS! It sounded horrible on the windows of our house like you wondered if the glass was going to break.
I have never seen hail like that and for such a length of time. It looked like we had a huge ice dispenser drop down on everything it hailed for at least 30 minutes to an hour. It was very unreal. Looking out side our window the streets were covered and the ground was covered the beating on everything was going on and on and on.
It looked almost like a snow covered ground.
I tried to take a photo but my camera wasn't wanting to focus in and flash in the darkness.
It was probably just me and in all the excitement of the moment just couldn't get my mind working right.
The next day everyone was out assessing damage on cars, thankfully our area wasn't hit as bad as some because there were not any cracked windshields but it looks like someone was pounding on the hoods of the cars. I am sure this is going to keep a lot of Auto Body Shops and Insurance companies busy for awhile.
A Hailstorn like this doesn't happen very often at all and I am thankful for that. I talked with our insurance agent and they said they started receiving phone calls at 3am that morning once the hailstorm was over from those too impatient to wait until morning to report their damages.
Keep your eyes on those storms.

Gardening
We are seeing green grass all over now and wow the splendor of the color! After the dull brown grounds of winter it is a refreshing time of new growth! The tulips are blooming and fields of Wheat are growing and looking so lovely and lush and green.
I remember many a day getting out in the garden with the shovel and the hoe, helping my Grandma on my mother's side of the family on her farm start clearing out the garden space and loosening up the soil to plant the seeds for the wonderful garden vegetables we would have later on in the summer! Yum Yum! Nothing like the feeling of tasting those super sweet garden tomatos and the super sweet cantaloupes!
Sitting and snapping green beans with my Grandma and Great Grandma was a fun time for me! I couldn't wait to start over the next day!
If you are thinking of planting a garden you should check out this deal at Henry Fields to get you growing- Save $20 off any $50 purchase of seeds or plants.

Samantha Where are you?
So if you are a child that grew up in the 70's with Bewitched and The Brady Bunch and all the great series of those times you might know what I mean when I say this.
I somewhat feel like the children of that generation were given such a false sense of hope for cleaning and getting everything in shape around the house,
Samantha could do it with a twinkle of her nose or snap her fingers and voila! Everything back in place......but here in the real world no way! When you have little ones running around your home you know exactly what I mean!
You can't just snap your fingers and everything put up instantly...lol Shame Shame Samantha even though we love ya!
