Contest Winner Announced & Some Great Deals!

Well hello again my DOD friends, it has been awhile since my last newsletter, I sure hope you all enjoyed your Fourth of July celebrations and that they didn’t get rained out. I apologize that I did not have a newsletter out when I was supposed to, I desperately wanted to have one ready and congratulate the new contest winner, but my ISP crashed and had problems for over 2 days, so I couldn’t get online to do it. I am very, very sorry about that, but being as I do have cable internet, problems like this are not a regularly expected occurrence. They actually had problems with all of their digital cable, the advanced channels, On Demand services and etc. Nothing was accessible.

Anyway, my son is on vacation for a month now at his Pappy’s, that would be my dad, and he has been able to work at the race track while he is there as a flag boy, so not only does he get to see the car races for free, but he earns money doing it. Every little boys dream, but his absence, though, necessitated that I find another way to draw the winner of our latest trivia contest. So, I assigned a number to each entry in the order they arrived at my email, the first was number 1, the second received was number 2 and so on. I then pulled out cards from a deck that corresponded to those numbers, and to make sure everyone had a fair chance, I put in two of each number. I then took those cards out to a friend of ours who was visiting over the holiday weekend, and without telling him what for, I just asked him to please cut them, shuffle them, whatever he felt appropriate, and then draw me a card. That way the choice was totally a random pick.

And our winner is: Rhonda Gibson. Congratulations Rhonda, you should be receiving your prize in about 2 weeks.
