Hi All, This is Mr. Whiskers, Again!
Well you all read my rant last time, so I thought I could feel free to let my itchy paws type away here again.
You know, yesterday was going pretty good. I got out the door for a nibble of grass when mom and dad got home with the groceries and sent our boy in for the grill tools. Darn, dad caught me too fast though. It was sunny and beautiful, a great day to sun on my favorite windowsill and nap while dreaming of those tasty birds flying around out there.
Mom had cleaned and refilled our water bowls, the food dishes were fool, the litterboxes clean, ah what more could a fellow want? Then it happened!!
I mean, I just couldn't believe it, I felt so betrayed. I am sure you will all understand, mom took that little Whippersnapper out in the yard on MY leash and harness. Can you believe it?? She bought it special for me from pets.com several years ago. She claims it is because I love to go outside but am too much of a clutz to be trusted on my own, BUT I KNOW, it is really because she just can't get enough of my company and showing me off around the neghborhood.
I mean, I have a fanclub all over our end of Punxsutawney, the neighbors love to watch me on my leash as I prance down the sidewalk with mom. They just can't wait to come out and pet me.
So yesterday, when she grabbed the leash and harness, I thought we were going out so I could show off my latest precision grooming, but no, she grabbed THAT, THAT LITTLE BEAST, and adjusted it to fit him instead and then out the door they went.
HOW COULD SHE? WHAT WAS SHE THINKING? Taking that little FIEND out and leaving me in here to suffer without fresh air and sunshine? I mean, what if I needed to eat some grass, or flowers, or something? Didn't stop to think about that did she?
Well, he got his just desserts, he was scared to death as soon as they went out the door. Danged silly stray, anyay. Have you ever seen a cat trying to climb the walls outside of the house in an attempt to get to the window and get back in? It was hilarious!! Well, that didn't last long, she had to grab him and bring him back in, it was really funny, she had to stand there and reel the leash in just like she was trying to catch a fish.
Hmmmm....Speaking of fish, wonder what flavor catfood mom brought home today?
Oh, sorry, now where was I, oh yeah, so she came in and took the harness and leash off the little brat and then decided it was time to take me out. OH YEAH SECOND CHOICE! Well, I never! She readjusted it to fit me and we went out. I did enjoy the fawning of my neighbors and nibbling the fresh green grass, but just to teach her a lesson for next time, I rolled in the dust so she had to clean me off before we came back in! SO THERE!
