Homework?

I am not sure what the homework is like at your house, but with 4 coming home after school everyday with several assignments to do that evening, it can get really frustrating and time consuming. Sometimes it makes me wonder what my children were doing at school that day, all day long, to have so many pages of work to do when they get home. At first it had me worrying, were they not paying attention or behaving badly in class that day?

But No that is not the answer its just assignments that everyone in the class has to do that evening.
It really does not leave alot of time in the day by time you have dinner and get bathed to do much of anything,
I remember when I was younger we rarely had homework, we did most everything in school, I find there are many parents feeling the same way so I guess I am not alone.
From the time our children hit the door they are doing homework, and having papers signed to take back the next day, practicing spelling words, or studying for tests. I am just amazed at the papers they bring home! Then it's hurry and eat dinner, take turns getting baths and ready for bed and the day is over, It's almost impossible during the week to have time for anything extra. Where have the days of school work being done at school? Even the Kindergarten children today have homework everynight except fridays around here.

Well I guess that is just the way it is for now. Thankfully most of us have access to the world wide web of information and can assist very readily when biographies or history assignments come along, it helps us ALL learn a few things when we do the searches for this information together.
There are also many homework help pages you can find when you search online, many are structured to work more directed towards specific subjects too, like Science or Math and really help with any questions you might have.
