Independence Day
What is Independence Day some may say,
Independence Day honors the birthday of the United States of America and the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
This is sure to be a long weekend for alot of people with the 4th of July being on a Friday! Ah, a long weekend break from work for most! Flags flying high and waving in the air to celebrate the 4th!
You will see lots of travelers taking the boat out on the lake, backyard grilling, time spent with family and friends.
hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled steaks, chicken and other goodies! Tomatos are starting to ripen on the vines at some of the Oklahoma farms, can you say YUM!
You see lots of watermelon's and cantelopes, such a refreshing treat in the heat! Picnicing and traveling are very much tradition of this day.
When the daylight goes down most will see a spledid sparkle of lights thorughout the United States Skies as Cities and Individuals set off fireworks of many colors in the night sky!
It is such an amazing thing to behold the fireworks shows, you see the saluting of the flags, and then when the popping and explosions start up many of the little ones scramble to their Mother's and hold their tiny little ears!
Here is wishing you and yours a wonderful and safe 4th of July!
