Shopping for cell phones!
There are so many features and options and choices and brands it can really be overwhelming when you are researching to buy a new cell phone.
You can spend hours going over all the features and which ones you think would work best for you, do you need internet access, they have the blackberry phones with all the loaded up bells and whistles or do you want a bar phone? a music and media phone? a camera phone? or a flip phone? they all have their own pros and cons...
Here is a great tool on Deal of Day to help you with your wireless phone decision making!
First you get to choose what style of phone you want and then what type of service which can be equally as confusing. With alot of our experiences we have always seemed to get the best reception with alot of the Nokia phones, and now there are so many other brands that are equally as good, the technology is improving all the time.
Then you are choosing a carrier, which has the better tower coverage in your area, you don't want to get stuck with a company that has horrible reception in your area or you will never be happy.
We live in a small town so some of the larger surrounding towns can use sprint and get excellent service but around here it their signal is not even picking up
In our area it seems to be AT&T and Alltel that have the best signals and least dropped calls
There are alot of really great pay as you go and Family plans where you can share minutes and get free mobile to mobile calling, do you want rollover minutes or text plans for unlimited use, as well as photo or video msg capabilities without using up more than your plan.
One of the main things I am not totally thrilled about these days is the 2 year contract that you have to enter into when getting a full fledged plan or the free phones.
One option alot of people like to do for their teenagers is try out a pay as you go plan like Net10
so you never have any surprise charges on your phone bill, right now they have a special for a FREE NOKIA Phone with 300 minutes for only $30.00.
If you are having trouble deciding which services or features, click on the DealofDay.com Wireless Deals Tab above and you can compare phones, features, services and plans!
